Du'a for a father's mercy via the Qur'an

اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْ أَبِي بِالْقُرْآنِ، وَاجْعَلْهُ لَهُ نُورًا وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً

Allahummar-ham abi bil-Qur'an, waj'alhu lahu nuran wa hudan wa rahmah

O Allah, have mercy on my father by the Qur'an, and make it a light, guidance, and mercy for him.

A general supplication, not a narration from the Prophet (peace be upon him).
