Data We Store
On Your Device Only
The following data is stored locally using your browser's localStorage and never leaves your device:
- Prayer preferences — calculation method, notification settings
- Fasting records — dates and types of fasts logged
- Dhikr statistics — counter totals
- Adhkar progress — completion status for daily adhkar
- App preferences — widget order, theme, display settings
- Favorite duas — which duas you've marked as favorites
Location Data
If you grant permission, we access your location for prayer times, Qibla direction, and weather. Your coordinates are stored locally on your device. They may be sent to OpenWeatherMap to retrieve weather data and prayer time calculations. No personal identifiers are included.
AI Features
Some features (soul comfort, dream interpretation, halal scanner, Quran reflections) use Google's Gemini AI. When you use these, only the text you submit is sent to Google — no personal identifiers are included. These features are optional and clearly labeled.
Error Tracking
In production, we use Sentry to collect anonymous error reports and performance data. This helps us identify and fix bugs. No personal content (prayers, mood entries, fasting logs) is included in error reports.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns (page views, countries, devices). This data is anonymous — no cookies are used and no individuals are tracked.
Infrastructure & Fonts
AskSakina uses Vercel to host and deliver the app. Vercel may collect anonymised page-view and performance data as part of its infrastructure services (Web Analytics and Speed Insights). We also load font files from Google Fonts CDN. Neither service is used for advertising. For details, see Vercel's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.

- Export: Download your data as JSON anytime
