الْمُبْدِئُ

Al-Mubdiʼ — The Originator

إِنَّهُ هُوَ يُبْدِئُ وَيُعِيدُ

Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth

Surah Al-Burūj (85:13)

Niyet

Today, I will thank Allah for one beginning in my life that I once overlooked — a friendship, a move, a conversation that started something.

Tefekkür

Al-Mubdiʾ is The Originator — the One who begins things from nothing. Every beginning in your life was originated by Him: your first breath, your first word, the first time you understood something about the world. In the lens of gratitude, this Name invites you to thank Him for beginnings — including the ones that seemed insignificant at the time but turned out to be the start of everything.

Bu ayet üzerine

Originates and repeats — yubdiʾu wa yuʿīd. He starts things, and He brings them back. Every morning is a new origination. Every season is a repeat. Both are gifts.

Dua

Said upon waking — the first words of the day are gratitude for the most fundamental beginning: being alive again. Sleep is a small death; waking is a small resurrection.

Hadis

The Prophet (peace be upon him) would say upon waking: 'All praise is due to Allah who restored my soul, made my body sound, and permitted me to remember Him.'
