Üzüntü ve Keder

الحزن والأسى

Grief is not a lack of faith. The Prophet (peace be upon him) wept when his son Ibrahim died. Yaqub cried until he lost his sight from missing Yusuf. Allah doesn't ask you not to grieve - He asks you to grieve with hope.

Anahtar Ayet

“Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content.”

Surah 93:3-5
İlgili Ayetler
  • “And surely We shall try you with something of fear and hunger, and loss of wealth and lives and crops; but give glad tidings to the steadfast, Who say, when a misfortune striketh them: Lo! we are Allah's and lo! unto Him we are returning. Such are they on whom are blessings from their Lord, and mercy. Such are the rightly guided.”

    Surah 2:155-157

Allah doesn't pretend life is easy. Fear, hunger, loss — it's all listed. But look at what comes for the patient: blessings, mercy, guidance. The trade isn't fair. It's better than fair.

  • “Say: O My slaves who have been prodigal to their own hurt! Despair not of the mercy of Allah, Who forgiveth all sins. Lo! He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.”

    Surah 39:53

Whatever's crushing you — guilt, loss, regret — none of it is bigger than His mercy. None of it. Read this verse when you forget that.

  • “But lo! with hardship goeth ease, Lo! with hardship goeth ease;”

    Surah 94:5-6

The Prophet (peace be upon him) was heartbroken when this came down. Grieving. And Allah's answer was this: ease is coming. Ease is already here. It was enough for him. It's enough for you.

  • “He said: I expose my distress and anguish only unto Allah, and I know from Allah that which ye know not.”

    Surah 12:86

Yaqub didn't complain to people. He said: 'I complain to ALLAH.' There's a difference. You can pour out every tear, every frustration, every 'why' — just pour it in the right direction.

  • “Faint not nor grieve, for ye will overcome them if ye are (indeed) believers.”

    Surah 3:139

Grieve. It's allowed. It's human. But don't let grief become despair. Don't let it stop you. You're still here. There's still work. There's still hope.

Sîretten

When the Prophet (peace be upon him) buried his son Ibrahim, tears streamed down his face. The Companions asked, 'Even you, O Messenger of Allah?' He replied: 'The eyes shed tears, the heart grieves, but we only say what pleases our Lord. Indeed, O Ibrahim, we are grieved by your departure.'
