الْغَفُورُ

Al-Ghafūr — The All-Forgiving

قُلْ يَا عِبَادِيَ الَّذِينَ أَسْرَفُوا عَلَى أَنفُسِهِمْ لَا تَقْنَطُوا مِن رَّحْمَةِ اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعًا ۚ

Say: O My slaves who have been prodigal to their own hurt! Despair not of the mercy of Allah, Who forgiveth all sins. Lo! He is the Forgiving, the Merciful

Surah Az-Zumar (39:53)

ارادہ

Today, I will forgive myself for one thing I have been holding against myself. I will accept that Al-Ghafūr's forgiveness is bigger than my mistake.

تدبر

Al-Ghafūr is The Most Forgiving — and this time, the relational lens turns inward. Can you be patient with yourself? Can you forgive yourself for the mistake you keep reliving, the opportunity you missed, the words you said that you cannot take back? Your struggle to forgive yourself is a heavy burden — sometimes it is shame, sometimes trauma, sometimes the weight of carrying something for too long. Gently remind your heart that His mercy is wider than your memory. Let His forgiveness teach you, slowly, how to extend the same to yourself.

All sins — jamīʿan. No exceptions are listed. The door of forgiveness does not have a 'maximum entry' sign. It is open, and the One behind it is Al-Ghafūr.

دعا

A great formula for seeking forgiveness — simple, complete, available to every person, at every moment, for every sin.

حدیث

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'By the One in whose Hand is my soul, if you did not sin, Allah would replace you with people who would sin and then seek His forgiveness, and He would forgive them.'
