الْغَفَّارُ

Al-Ghaffār — The Ever-Forgiving

قُلْ يَا عِبَادِيَ الَّذِينَ أَسْرَفُوا عَلَى أَنفُسِهِمْ لَا تَقْنَطُوا مِن رَّحْمَةِ اللَّهِ ۚ

Say: O My slaves who have been prodigal to their own hurt! Despair not of the mercy of Allah, Who forgiveth all sins. Lo! He is the Forgiving, the Merciful

Surah Az-Zumar (39:53)

ارادہ

Today, I will forgive myself for one thing I have been carrying — and walk through the open door.

تدبر

Al-Ghaffār is The Ever-Forgiving — not the once-forgiving or the sometimes-forgiving. The ever. The door of tawbah does not close at night. It does not shut when you return for the twentieth time. It is architecturally incapable of closing, because the One who built it is Al-Ghaffār.

آیت پر تدبر

My servants — even after transgression, He still calls them His own. The relationship is not broken by the sin. The invitation to return is embedded in the verse itself.

دعا

A comprehensive prayer of seeking forgiveness. Complete in itself.

حدیث

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “By Allah, I seek forgiveness from Allah and repent to Him more than seventy times a day.”
