Grateful for What Came Late

الْمُؤَخَّرُ

Al-Muʼakhkhir — The Delayer

لِكُلِّ أَجَلٍ كِتَابٌ ۗ

And verily We sent messengers (to mankind) before thee, and We appointed for them wives and offspring, and it was not (given) to any messenger that he should bring a portent save by Allah's leave. For everything there is a time prescribed

Surah Ar-Ra'd (13:38)

ارادہ

Today, I will thank Allah for one blessing that came late — and recognise that the wait itself was a gift.

تدبر

Al-Muʾakhkhir is The Delayer — the One who holds things back until their right time. In gratitude, this Name heals the wound of waiting. The spouse who came later than you hoped. The success that arrived after years of effort. The understanding that only dawned after decades. What felt like delay was actually perfect timing by Al-Muʾakhkhir. The wait was not wasted — it was preparation. And now that it has arrived, the gratitude is deeper for having waited.

آیت پر تدبر

For every term — likulli ajal. Nothing happens before its time, and nothing happens after its time. The decree is written, and the writing is perfect.

دعا

Good of this day AND what comes after — trusting that what has not yet arrived is also under His care.

حدیث

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'There is no Muslim who supplicates to Allah with a du'a that contains no sin or severing of ties, except that Allah will give him one of three things: He will answer it quickly, or He will store it for him in the Hereafter, or He will divert an equivalent evil from him.'
