After Everything, Him
5 Muharram 1448
الْآخِرُ
Al-Ākhir — The Last
كُلُّ شَيْءٍ هَالِكٌ إِلَّا وَجْهَهُ ۚ
And cry not unto any other god along with Allah. There is no God save Him. Everything will perish save His countenance. His is the command, and unto Him ye will be brought back
Surah Al-Qaṣaṣ (28:88)
ارادہ
Today, I will invest in something that lasts beyond this life — a prayer, a charity, a kind word — knowing that Al-Ākhir receives what endures.
تدبر
Al-Ākhir is The Last — when everything ends, He remains. In gratitude, this Name offers the deepest comfort: whatever you lose, wherever you go, however the story unfolds — at the very end, He is there. Your gratitude today will echo into eternity because the One receiving it is eternal. Nothing you thank Him for is ever lost. No praise evaporates. No shukr dissolves. It all arrives at Al-Ākhir, who will still be there to receive it when the universe has long gone silent.
آیت پر تدبر
Everything — kullu shayʾ — will perish. Except His Face. What remains when everything else is gone is the only thing worth attaching your heart to.
دعا
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ رِضَاكَ وَالْجَنَّةَ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ سَخَطِكَ وَالنَّارِ
O Allah, I ask You for Your pleasure and for Paradise, and I seek refuge in You from Your wrath and from the Fire.
Sunan Abī Dāwūd 792, graded ṣaḥīḥ by Al-Albānī
The ultimate ask: His pleasure and Paradise. The ultimate refuge: from His anger and the Fire. When you remember He is The Last, these become the only things worth requesting.
حدیث
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Wealth is not in having many possessions. True wealth is the richness of the soul.'
