Grateful for Forgiveness

11 Muharram 1448

التَّوَّابُ

At-TawwābThe Acceptor of Repentance

إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ التَّوَّابِينَ وَيُحِبُّ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ

They question thee (O Muhammad) concerning menstruation. Say: It is an illness, so let women alone at such times and go not in unto them till they are cleansed. And when they have purified themselves, then go in unto them as Allah hath enjoined upon you. Truly Allah loveth those who turn unto Him, and loveth those who have a care for cleanness

Surah Al-Baqarah (2:222)

ارادہ

Today, I will thank Allah for At-Tawwāb — for the fact that I can always come back, no matter how far I have strayed.

تدبر

At-Tawwāb is The One who accepts repentance — again and again, without limit, without fatigue. In the lens of gratitude, this Name covers the deepest relief: you are not defined by your worst moment. Every sin has a door back. Every fall has a hand extended. At-Tawwāb does not just tolerate your return — He celebrates it. The gratitude for being forgiven is unlike any other gratitude, because it heals the part of you that thought you were beyond repair.

آیت پر تدبر

Loves — yuḥibbu. Not tolerates, not permits, not overlooks. He loves the ones who keep coming back. The return itself is beloved to Him.

دعا

رَبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ

And (O Muhammad) say: My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for Thou art Best of all who show mercy

Surah Al-Muʾminūn (23:118)

A short, complete prayer for forgiveness and mercy — taught directly in the Quran. Brief enough to repeat throughout the day, comprehensive enough to carry the weight of every need.

حدیث

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'When the servant says "I have committed a sin and I ask Your forgiveness," Allah says: My servant knew that he has a Lord who forgives sins and punishes for them. I have forgiven My servant.'
