Al-Ḥakam — The Judge

أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ الْحَاكِمِينَ

Is not Allah the most conclusive of all judges

ارادہ

Today, I will review my deeds from this past month and prepare corrections before Ramadan.

تدبر

Al-Ḥakam at cosmic scale judges between night and day, between seasons, between life and death. Every sunset is a verdict. Every spring is a ruling. The natural order is His courtroom, and every law of nature is His decree. In Shaʿbān, preparing for Ramadan means preparing for accountability — reviewing your deeds before the sacred month arrives, as a lawyer reviews a case before trial.

آیت پر تدبر

The last verse of Surah At-Tīn — a rhetorical question that closes the surah about human dignity and judgement. Of course He is.

دعا

ʿĀishah asked: what is an easy account? He said: that He looks at your record and overlooks. That is the easy account.

حدیث

ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb (may Allah be pleased with him) said: 'Take account of yourselves before you are taken to account, and weigh your deeds before they are weighed for you.'
