He Responds to Preparation
7 Rabi' al-Awwal 1448
الْمُجِيبُ
Al-Mujīb — The Responsive
وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِي عَنِّي فَإِنِّي قَرِيبٌ ۖ أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ الدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ ۖ
And when My servants question thee concerning Me, then surely I am nigh. I answer the prayer of the suppliant when he crieth unto Me. So let them hear My call and let them trust in Me, in order that they may be led aright
Surah Al-Baqarah (2:186)
ارادہ
Today, I will make a du'a specifically about Ramadan — asking Al-Mujīb to let me reach it and benefit from it fully.
تدبر
Al-Mujīb at cosmic scale responds to every need in creation: the plant turns toward light, the wound sends white blood cells, the baby cries and the mother's milk flows. In Shaʿbān, Al-Mujīb responds to your preparation: the heart that sincerely prepares for Ramadan will find Ramadan responding to it. The doors that open in the sacred month open widest for those who knocked in Shaʿbān.
آیت پر تدبر
This verse sits in the middle of the Ramadan verses — surrounded by fasting rulings. The most intimate du'a verse in the Quran, placed inside the Ramadan passage. The connection is deliberate.
دعا
رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا إِنَّكَ أَنتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
And when Abraham and Ishmael were raising the foundations of the House, (Abraham prayed): Our Lord! Accept from us (this duty). Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Hearer, the Knower
Surah Al-Baqarah (2:127)
The du'a of Ibrāhīm building the Ka'bah — doing the work and asking for acceptance. Preparation paired with supplication.
حدیث
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'The du'a of any one of you is answered as long as he does not become impatient.'
