One God, One Month, One Purpose
27 Rabi' al-Awwal 1448
الْوَاحِدُ
Al-Wāḥid — The One
إِنَّ هَذِهِ أُمَّتُكُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَأَنَا رَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُونِ
Lo! this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so worship Me
Surah Al-Anbiyāʾ (21:92)
ارادہ
Today, I will feel the unity — knowing that as I fast, a billion others are fasting with me, all facing the same Lord.
تدبر
Al-Wāḥid in Ramadan — and the unity shines: one ummah, fasting together, facing one Qiblah, reading one Book, worshipping one God. Ramadan is the most unified act of worship on earth. A billion people, simultaneously, doing the same thing for the same reason. Al-Wāḥid's oneness is reflected in the ummah's unity — and nowhere is that unity more visible than in Ramadan.
آیت پر تدبر
One nation — ummatukum ummatan wāḥidah. The ummah is one because the Lord is One. Ramadan makes this visible.
دعا
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
There is no deity except Allah alone, without partner. His is the dominion, His is the praise, and He is over all things capable.
Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6403
The declaration of oneness — said 100 times daily for immense reward. In Ramadan, its weight multiplies.
حدیث
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'The believers, in their love, mercy, and sympathy for one another, are like one body.'
