الْبَرُّ

Al-Barr — The Source of Goodness

إِنَّا كُنَّا مِن قَبْلُ نَدْعُوهُ ۖ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْبَرُّ الرَّحِيمُ

Lo! we used to pray unto Him of old. Lo! He is the Benign, the Merciful

Surah Aṭ-Ṭūr (52:28)

ارادہ

Today, as Ramadan draws to its close, I will soak in every remaining moment — knowing that Al-Barr is offering His final goodness of the month.

تدبر

Al-Barr on these final hours of Ramadan — the Source of All Goodness has been pouring out for thirty days. Goodness in the fasting. Goodness in the praying. Goodness in the giving. Goodness in the community. Goodness in the Quran. And now, as the month draws to its close, Al-Barr offers the promise of one final gift: Eid. A day of joy prescribed by the One who knows you need celebration after sacrifice.

آیت پر تدبر

We used to supplicate Him — kunna min qablu nadʿūhu. In Paradise, they look back on their du'as and see that every single one was answered. Your Ramadan du'as are not lost.

دعا

The takbīr of Eid al-Fitr — the sound of Ramadan's completion. You made it. Say it with your whole chest. (Note: Variations in the takbīr format exist across the schools of fiqh and are all valid. The Shāfiʿī and Mālikī traditions often begin with three consecutive takbīrs.)

حدیث

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Allah said: I have prepared for My righteous servants what no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what has not occurred to the human heart.'
