Rich After Ramadan

20 Rabi' al-Thani 1448

الْغَنِيُّ

Al-GhaniyyThe Self-Sufficient

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَنتُمُ الْفُقَرَاءُ إِلَى اللَّهِ ۖ وَاللَّهُ هُوَ الْغَنِيُّ الْحَمِيدُ

O mankind! Ye are the poor in your relation to Allah. And Allah! He is the Absolute, the Owner of Praise

Surah Fāṭir (35:15)

ارادہ

Today, I will identify one way Ramadan enriched me — and protect that enrichment from erosion.

تدبر

Al-Ghaniyy after Ramadan — the Self-Sufficient One does not need your fasting, yet He rewarded it beyond measure. And now, after Ramadan, you are spiritually richer than you were thirty days ago. Al-Ghaniyy enriched you through deprivation. The paradox of Ramadan: you gave up food and gained nourishment that no meal can provide. Carry that richness forward.

آیت پر تدبر

You are the needy ones — always. Even after Ramadan. Especially after Ramadan. Do not mistake spiritual richness for independence.

دعا

اللَّهُمَّ أَغْنِنِي بِالْعِلْمِ وَزَيِّنِّي بِالْحِلْمِ

O Allah, enrich me with knowledge and adorn me with forbearance.

General supplication

True enrichment: knowledge and forbearance. Both grow with practice, not with Ramadan alone.

حدیث

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Richness is not having many possessions. True richness is the richness of the soul.'
