Perfect Fairness

10 Sha'ban 1447

الْعَدْلُ

Al-‘AdlThe Just

وَنَضَعُ الْمَوَازِينَ الْقِسْطَ لِيَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ فَلَا تُظْلَمُ نَفْسٌ شَيْئًا ۖ

And We set a just balance for the Day of Resurrection so that no soul is wronged in aught. Though it be of the weight of a grain of mustard seed, We bring it. And We suffice for reckoners

Surah Al-Anbiyāʼ (21:47)

ارادہ

Today, I will be fair in one small thing — a conversation, a division, a decision — even if fairness costs me something.

تدبر

Al-‘Adl is The Just — not in the human sense of approximate fairness, but in the divine sense of perfect balance. Every atom of good is weighed. Every atom of suffering is accounted for. Nothing is wasted, nothing is overlooked, nothing tips the scale without purpose. If life feels unfair today, the scales are not yet closed.

آیت پر تدبر

No soul — not one. The promise is total. The scales of Al-‘Adl are not approximate. They are exact.

دعا

رَبَّنَا افْتَحْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ قَوْمِنَا بِالْحَقِّ وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الْفَاتِحِينَ

We should have invented a lie against Allah if we returned to your religion after Allah hath rescued us from it. It is not for us to return to it unless Allah our Lord should (so) will. Our Lord comprehendeth all things in knowledge. In Allah do we put our trust. Our Lord! Decide with truth between us and our folk, for Thou art the best of those who make decision

Surah Al-A‘rāf (7:89)

The prayer of Shu’ayb, peace be upon him, when his people rejected him. He did not seek revenge. He sought divine judgement.

حدیث

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “The just will be on pulpits of light on the Day of Resurrection — those who are just in their judgement, their families, and all that they are given responsibility over.”

Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 1827
