الظَّاهِرُ

Aẓ-Ẓāhir — The Manifest

وَأَسْبَغَ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعَمَهُ ظَاهِرَةً وَبَاطِنَةً ۗ

See ye not how Allah hath made serviceable unto you whatsoever is in the skies and whatsoever is in the earth and hath loaded you with His favours both without and within? Yet of mankind is he who disputeth concerning Allah, without knowledge or guidance or a scripture giving light

Surah Luqmān (31:20)

ارادہ

Today, I will look at this year's journey and see Aẓ-Ẓāhir's manifest grace — in every page, every prayer, every moment.

تدبر

Aẓ-Ẓāhir: His grace was manifest throughout this journey — in the verse that struck your heart at the right moment, in the du'a that articulated what you could not, in the Name that named what you were feeling. Aẓ-Ẓāhir's fingerprints are all over your year.

آیت پر تدبر

Manifest and hidden — ẓāhiratan wa bāṭinah. Both visible and invisible blessings surrounded you this year.

دعا

All of it — kulluhu. Complete, total, unreserved praise.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Look at those beneath you and do not look at those above you.'
