Loved Without Earning It
28 Sha'ban 1447
الْوَدُودُ
Al-Wadūd — The Most Loving
وَهُوَ الْغَفُورُ الْوَدُودُ
And He is the Forgiving, the Loving
Surah Al-Burūj (85:14)
ارادہ
Today, I will love one person without needing them to earn it — mirroring Al-Wadūd.
تدبر
Al-Wadūd is The Most Loving. Not the one who loves you because you earned it. The One who loves you before you did anything to deserve it. Wudd in Arabic is a warm, affectionate, initiating love — not a love that waits to be impressed but a love that reaches out first. Al-Wadūd loved you into existence.
آیت پر تدبر
Forgiving and Loving paired together. He does not forgive and then withdraw His affection. He forgives and then loves. The sequence matters.
دعا
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ حُبَّكَ وَحُبَّ مَنْ يُحِبُّكَ
O Allah, I ask You for Your love and the love of those who love You.
Sunan at-Tirmidhī 3235 (graded ṣaḥīḥ)
A du’a that asks for the most valuable thing: to be drawn into the orbit of divine love.
حدیث
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “When Allah loves a servant, He calls Jibrīl and says: I love so-and-so, so love him. Then Jibrīl loves him, and he calls out to the inhabitants of the heavens: Allah loves so-and-so, so love him. Then the inhabitants of the heavens love him, and acceptance is placed for him on earth.”
