Creating from Nothing
٢٢ رجب ١٤٤٧
الْخَـٰلِقُ
Al-Khāliq — The Creator
سُبْحَانَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ الْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him)
Surah Aṣ-Ṣāffāt (37:180)
النية
Today, I will pause to notice one thing in creation that exists because Al-Khāliq chose for it to exist — and thank Him for it.
تأمّل
Al-Khāliq is The Creator — the One who brings into existence what did not exist before. He created from nothing, with no precedent, no model, no template. Every leaf, every fingerprint, every voice carries the signature of an originality that began with Him. And He is still creating: every moment, every breath, every cell renewing itself. To worship Al-Khāliq is to remember that you yourself are an act of His creativity — you did not exist, and now you do, because He chose to make you.
في هذه الآية
Above what they describe — even our best words fall short. His greatness is not captured by language, not limited by comprehension. It simply is.
دعاء
لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ
There is no power nor strength except through Allah.
Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 4205
A treasury of Paradise. The ultimate declaration of dependency on the only One who is truly great.
حديث
Allah says in a hadith qudsi: “Pride is My cloak and greatness is My robe. Whoever competes with Me in either of them, I will throw into the Fire.”
— Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2620
