الْمُعِيدُ

Al-Mu‘īd — The Restorer

كَمَا بَدَأَكُمْ تَعُودُونَ ۗ

Say: My Lord enjoineth justice. And set your faces upright (toward Him) at every place of worship and call upon Him, making religion pure for Him (only). As He brought you into being, so return ye (unto Him)

Today, I will thank Allah for one second chance He gave me — something that was lost and came back.

تأمّل

Al-Muʿīd is The Restorer — the One who brings things back. In gratitude, this Name is for everyone who has been given a second chance. The marriage that almost ended but was restored. The health that was lost and returned. The faith that wavered and came back stronger. Every restoration is a gift from Al-Muʿīd, and it deserves a gratitude even deeper than the first time — because now you know how it feels to lose it.

في هذه الآية

You will return — to Him, to the source, to the origin. The greatest restoration is the final one: returning to your Creator.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'When Allah loves a servant, He calls Jibrīl and says: I love so-and-so, so love him. Then Jibrīl loves him, and Jibrīl calls out in the heavens: Allah loves so-and-so, so love him.'
