Manifest Mercy

٧ ربيع الثاني ١٤٤٨

الظَّاهِرُ

Aẓ-ẒāhirThe Manifest

The angels and the Spirit descend therein, by the permission of their Lord, with all decrees. (The night is) Peace until the rising of the dawn

Surah Al-Qadr (97:4-5)

النية

Today, I will open my eyes to the manifest mercy around me — in the community, in the Quran, in my own heart's transformation.

تأمّل

Aẓ-Ẓāhir in the last ten — His mercy is now manifest, visible, undeniable. The masājid are full. The Quran echoes from every home. The charity flows. The tears fall in sujūd. This is Aẓ-Ẓāhir's month — where His mercy, usually operating subtly, becomes visible to anyone who looks. Ramadan is proof that He is real, that His mercy is real, that transformation is real.

في هذه الآية

Angels descend — tanazzalu. On Laylat al-Qadr, the angels are so numerous that they outnumber the pebbles on earth. The invisible becomes almost visible.

دعاء

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ

Glory be to Allah and His praise.

Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6405

One hundred times — and sins forgiven like the foam of the sea. In the last ten nights, this dhikr is a lifeline.

حديث

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'On Laylat al-Qadr, the angels on earth are more numerous than the pebbles.'
