الرَّؤُوفُ

Ar-Raʼūf — The Most Kind

إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِالنَّاسِ لَرَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ

Thus We have appointed you a middle nation, that ye may be witnesses against mankind, and that the messenger may be a witness against you. And We appointed the qiblah which ye formerly observed only that We might know him who followeth the messenger, from him who turneth on his heels. In truth it was a hard (test) save for those whom Allah guided. But it was not Allah's purpose that your faith should be in vain, for Allah is Full of Pity, Merciful toward mankind

Surah Al-Baqarah (2:143)

Today, I will maintain one Ramadan habit — not all of them, just one — as proof that the change was real.

تأمّل

Ar-Raʾūf after Ramadan — His tenderness continues. The month ended, but His compassion did not. Every morning after Eid is still a morning where Ar-Raʾūf is caring for you. The mistake people make is thinking mercy was seasonal. It was not. Ramadan amplified what is always there. Continuity means recognising that the same God who held you through Ramadan is holding you now.

في هذه الآية

To the people — bil-nās. Not just to the fasting. Not just in Ramadan. To all people, always.

دعاء

The du'a after every prayer — not just in Ramadan. Every prayer, every day, every month.

حديث

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'The most beloved deeds to Allah are those done consistently, even if they are small.'
