Inheriting and Passing On
١ جمادى الأولى ١٤٤٨
الْوَارِثُ
Al-Wārith — The Inheritor
وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ نُحْيِي وَنُمِيتُ وَنَحْنُ الْوَارِثُونَ
Lo! and it is We, even We, Who quicken and give death, and We are the Inheritor
Surah Al-Ḥijr (15:23)
النية
Today, I will do one thing that someone will inherit from me — a lesson, a tradition, a value.
تأمّل
Al-Wārith integrated: everything returns to Him, and everything you have will be inherited by someone after you. The integration of Al-Wārith asks: what kind of inheritance are you leaving? Not just material — spiritual. The prayers your children saw you pray. The charity your community saw you give. The character your colleagues saw you carry. This is your inheritance to the world.
في هذه الآية
He is the final Inheritor. Everything passes through your hands temporarily. Use it well.
دعاء
رَبِّ لَا تَذَرْنِي فَرْدًا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الْوَارِثِينَ
And Zachariah, when he cried unto his Lord: My Lord! Leave me not childless, though Thou art the Best of inheritors
Surah Al-Anbiyāʾ (21:89)
Zakariyyā's prayer — asking for legacy, for continuity, for someone to carry the torch.
حديث
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'The scholars are the inheritors of the prophets.'
