Giving as Identity
Al-Wahhāb — The Bestower
Our Lord! Cause not our hearts to stray after Thou hast guided us, and bestow upon us mercy from Thy Presence. Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Bestower
Surah Āl-ʿImrān (3:8)
النية
Today, I will give without being asked — time, money, attention, or forgiveness.
Al-Wahhāb integrated: generosity is identity, not activity. After four cycles with The Bestower, giving flows from you without calculation. You give time without counting hours, money without counting coins, attention without counting minutes. Al-Wahhāb gives because giving is His nature. Make it yours.
Guidance is a gift — hiba — from Al-Wahhāb. Everything that followed was built on that first gift.
My Lord! Vouchsafe me wisdom and unite me to the righteous
Surah Ash-Shu'arāʾ (26:83)
Ibrāhīm asked to be given AND to be joined. The best gifts connect you to good people.
حديث
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Give gifts to one another and you will love one another.'
— Al-Adab al-Mufrad 594 (graded ḥasan by al-Albānī)
