اليوم 67

Uniquely Him

١٩ رمضان ١٤٤٧

الْأَحَدُ

Al-AḥadThe Unique

لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْءٌ ۖ

The Creator of the heavens and the earth. He hath made for you pairs of yourselves, and of the cattle also pairs, whereby He multiplieth you. Naught is as His likeness; and He is the Hearer, the Seer

Surah Ash-Shūrā (42:11)

النية

Today, I will sit with the mystery of Al-Aḥad for one minute — not trying to understand, just acknowledging that He is beyond understanding.

تأمّل

Al-Aḥad is The Unique — not just one in number, but one in kind. There is nothing like Him. No analogy captures Him fully, no metaphor reaches Him completely. Every comparison falls short. And this is not a limitation of language — it is a feature of His uniqueness. He is in a category of one.

في هذه الآية

Five words in Arabic that close every theological debate. Nothing like Him. Not “almost nothing.” Nothing. Full stop.

دعاء

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ

Glory be to Allah and praise be to Him.

Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6405

Subḥān — glory, transcendence, being beyond. When you say subḥānallāh, you are saying: You are beyond anything I can imagine.

حديث

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Surah Al-Ikhlāṣ is equivalent to one-third of the Quran.”

Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 5015
