الشدائد والابتلاءات
الشدائد والابتلاءات
Tests are not punishments - they're refinements. Gold is purified by fire. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said the most tested people are the prophets, then those closest to them in faith. Your test is a sign of your potential.
“Allah tasketh not a soul beyond its scope. For it (is only) that which it hath earned, and against it (only) that which it hath deserved. Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget, or miss the mark! Our Lord! Lay not on us such a burden as thou didst lay on those before us! Our Lord! Impose not on us that which we have not the strength to bear! Pardon us, absolve us and have mercy on us, Thou, our Protector, and give us victory over the disbelieving folk.”
Surah 2:286- 1
“And surely We shall try you with something of fear and hunger, and loss of wealth and lives and crops; but give glad tidings to the steadfast,”
Surah 2:155Allah doesn't sugarcoat it: fear, hunger, loss — they're coming. But so is the reward. The patient get something the comfortable never will.

“Do men imagine that they will be left (at ease) because they say, We believe, and will not be tested with affliction? Lo! We tested those who were before you. Thus Allah knoweth those who are sincere, and knoweth those who feign.”
Surah 29:2-3'Did you think you'd just say 'I believe' and not be tested?' Tests aren't punishment. They're proof. This struggle? It's showing what you're made of.

“But lo! with hardship goeth ease, Lo! with hardship goeth ease;”
Surah 94:5-6The ease isn't waiting until this is over. It's hiding inside it. Right now. Your job is to find it while you're still in the middle.

“Every soul must taste of death, and We try you with evil and with good, for ordeal. And unto Us ye will be returned.”
Surah 21:35Easy times test your gratitude. Hard times test your patience. You're always being tested. The question is: are you passing?

“Let him who hath abundance spend of his abundance, and he whose provision is measured, let him spend of that which Allah hath given him. Allah asketh naught of any soul save that which He hath given it. Allah will vouchsafe, after hardship, ease.”
Surah 65:7'Allah WILL bring ease after hardship.' WILL. Not maybe. Not hopefully. WILL. It's coming.
Khabbab ibn al-Aratt was tortured so severely that his back was permanently scarred. He complained to the Prophet (peace be upon him), who said: 'Before you, people would be sawed in half and it wouldn't turn them from faith. Be patient — Allah will complete this matter until a rider travels from Sana'a to Hadramaut fearing nothing but Allah.' It happened.
