الْأَوَّلُ
Al-Awwal — The First
هُوَ الْأَوَّلُ وَالْآخِرُ وَالظَّاهِرُ وَالْبَاطِنُ ۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ
He is the First and the Last, and the Outward and the Inward; and He is Knower of all things
Surah Al-Ḥadīd (57:3)
Niat
Today, I will remember that before I woke up, before I planned anything, before I worried about anything — He was already there, already working, already providing.
Renungan
Al-Awwal is The First — before time, before space, before creation, before you. Gratitude for Al-Awwal is gratitude for the fact that before you existed, He already loved you into being. Before you needed provision, He had already arranged it. Before you asked, He had already answered. Everything good in your life was planned before you arrived to receive it. You are living inside a gift that was wrapped before you were born.

Doa
اللَّهُمَّ أَنتَ الْأَوَّلُ فَلَيْسَ قَبْلَكَ شَيْءٌ وَأَنتَ الْآخِرُ فَلَيْسَ بَعْدَكَ شَيْءٌ وَأَنتَ الظَّاهِرُ فَلَيْسَ فَوْقَكَ شَيْءٌ وَأَنتَ الْبَاطِنُ فَلَيْسَ دُونَكَ شَيْءٌ
O Allah, You are the First and there is nothing before You. You are the Last and there is nothing after You. You are the Manifest and there is nothing above You. You are the Hidden and there is nothing beyond You.
Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2713
The Prophet (peace be upon him) would say this before sleeping — meditating on four Names that eliminate every doubt about Allah's totality. There is no gap He does not fill.
Hadis
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Magnificent Throne — our Lord and Lord of everything.'
