Glorious Month Ahead
11 Rabi' al-Awwal 1448
الْمَجِيدُ
Al-Majīd — The Most Glorious
ذُو الْعَرْشِ الْمَجِيدُ * فَعَّالٌ لِّمَا يُرِيدُ
Lord of the Throne of Glory, Doer of what He will
Surah Al-Burūj (85:15-16)
Niat
Today, with Ramadan so close, I will make my final preparations — clearing debts, healing relationships, setting intentions.
Renungan
Al-Majīd at cosmic scale: the glory of a galaxy in full bloom, the splendour of a nebula creating new stars, the magnificence of a planet's rings — all reflections of Al-Majīd's glory. And Ramadan, now just days away, is the most glorious month in the Islamic calendar. In Shaʿbān, you stand at the edge of glory. The preparation is nearly complete. The heart is nearly ready. Al-Majīd's glorious month is about to begin.
Tentang ayat ini
Effecter of what He intends — faʿʿālun limā yurīd. Whatever He intends for you in Ramadan, He will accomplish. Your job is to show up.
Doa
اللَّهُمَّ بَلِّغْنَا رَمَضَانَ
O Allah, let us reach Ramadan.
General du'a based on the Rajab/Shaʿbān tradition
The simplest, most sincere du'a of Shaʿbān: just let me get there. Let me live to see it. Let me be among those who enter it.
Hadis
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'When the first night of Ramadan comes, the devils and rebellious jinn are chained, the gates of Hell are closed and none of them is opened, the gates of Paradise are opened and none of them is closed.'
