Hari 249
Sustained Through Ramadan
24 Rabi' al-Awwal 1448
الْقَيُّومُ
Al-Qayyūm — The Self-Sustaining
اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ ۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ ۚ
Allah! There is no God save Him, the Alive, the Eternal. Neither slumber nor sleep overtaketh Him. Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. Who is he that intercedeth with Him save by His leave? He knoweth that which is in front of them and that which is behind them, while they encompass nothing of His knowledge save what He will. His throne includeth the heavens and the earth, and He is never weary of preserving them. He is the Sublime, the Tremendous
Surah Al-Baqarah (2:255)
Niat
Today, I will notice how Al-Qayyūm is sustaining me through the fast — energy I should not have, focus I did not earn. (For those with chronic illness, pregnancy, or other exemptions: your struggle is its own worship, and the exemption is itself a mercy from Al-Qayyūm.)
Renungan
Al-Qayyūm in Ramadan sustains you through what seems impossible: sixteen-hour fasts, nightly prayers, full work days — and yet you survive. More than survive: you thrive. Al-Qayyūm is sustaining your body on less fuel than any other month, and somehow it works. The Ramadan paradox: less food, more energy for worship. Less sleep, more clarity. Al-Qayyūm is proving that your sustenance comes from Him, not from your plate.
Tentang ayat ini
Āyat al-Kursī — the verse of the Throne. In Ramadan, reciting it after every prayer is not just sunnah; it is survival. You are tapping into the sustaining power of the One who never tires.
Doa
اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنتَ قَيِّمُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ
O Allah, to You belongs all praise. You are the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth.
Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 1120
The Sustainer of everything is sustaining your fast right now. Acknowledge it.
Hadis
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Take suhoor, for in suhoor there is blessing.'
