Hari 25
Humility as Gift
6 Sha'ban 1447
الْمُذِلُّ
Al-Mudhill — The Humbler
وَاقْصِدْ فِي مَشْيِكَ
Be modest in thy bearing and subdue thy voice. Lo! the harshest of all voices is the voice of the ass
Surah Luqmān (31:19)
Niat
Today, I will walk a little slower and speak a little softer.
Renungan
Al-Mudhill is The Humbler. Paired with Al-Mu‘izz, this Name teaches that humbling is not punishment but recalibration. When the ego inflates, when success breeds carelessness, when comfort leads to forgetting — Al-Mudhill intervenes. Not to destroy, but to remind you of your actual address: on the earth, not above it.
Tentang ayat ini
Be moderate — not too slow in self-pity, not too fast in arrogance. The walk itself teaches humility when done with awareness.
Doa
اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي فِي عَيْنِي صَغِيرًا وَفِي أَعْيُنِ النَّاسِ كَبِيرًا
O Allah, make me small in my own eyes and great in the eyes of the people.
Attributed du’a (widely cited in du’a compilations)
The paradox of true humility: the smaller you see yourself, the larger your impact on others.
Hadis
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Shall I not tell you of the people of Paradise? They are every humble, modest person who, if they swore by Allah, He would fulfil their oath.”
