الْحَسِيبُ

Al-Ḥasīb — The Reckoner

حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ

Those unto whom men said: Lo! the people have gathered against you, therefor fear them. (The threat of danger) but increased the faith of them and they cried: Allah is Sufficient for us! Most Excellent is He in Whom we trust

Surah Āl ‘Imrān (3:173)

Niat

Today, I will do my best and leave the accounting to Him.

Renungan

Al-Ḥasīb is The Reckoner — but reckoning in the divine sense is not punitive bookkeeping. It is precise awareness. He counts what you give and what you withhold. He knows the exact measure of your effort and your capability. The reckoning of Al-Ḥasīb is perfect because it accounts for everything — including your struggles.

Tentang ayat ini

Sufficient — ḥasbunā. From the same root as Al-Ḥasīb. When you say Ḥasbunallāh, you are saying: His accounting of my situation is enough. I do not need another judge.

Doa

حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ

Now, if they turn away (O Muhammad) say: Allah sufficeth me. There is no God save Him. In Him have I put my trust, and He is Lord of the Tremendous Throne

Surah At-Tawbah (9:129)

The du’a of ultimate sufficiency. When every other support has fallen away, this remains.

Hadis

ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb (may Allah be pleased with him) said: 'Take account of yourselves before you are taken to account, and weigh your deeds before they are weighed for you.'
