He Needs Nothing; You Need Everything

الْغَنِيُّ

Al-Ghaniyy — The Self-Sufficient

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَنتُمُ الْفُقَرَاءُ إِلَى اللَّهِ ۖ وَاللَّهُ هُوَ الْغَنِيُّ الْحَمِيدُ

O mankind! Ye are the poor in your relation to Allah. And Allah! He is the Absolute, the Owner of Praise

Surah Fāṭir (35:15)

ارادہ

Today, I will worship knowing that my worship benefits me, not Him — and I will be grateful that He accepts it anyway.

تدبر

Al-Ghaniyy is The Self-Sufficient, The Rich Beyond Need — the One who needs absolutely nothing from anyone. Your prayer does not sustain Him. Your charity does not enrich Him. Your worship does not benefit Him. And yet He asks for all of it — not because He needs it, but because you do. Devotion to Al-Ghaniyy is the most honest kind of worship: you are not giving to a needy god. You are giving to a generous Lord who turns your offering into your own reward.

آیت پر تدبر

You are the poor ones — antum al-fuqarāʾ. Not some of you. All of you. Every human being, without exception, is in absolute need of Allah. And He is in absolute need of nothing.

دعا

Four requests for true richness: knowledge, forbearance, taqwa, and wellbeing. Not a single one is about money.

حدیث

Allah says in a ḥadīth qudsī: 'O My servants, if the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you, were as pious as the most pious heart among you, that would not increase My kingdom in anything. And if they were as wicked as the most wicked heart, that would not decrease My kingdom in anything.'
