الْكَرِيمُ
Al-Karīm — The Generous
يَا أَيُّهَا الْإِنسَانُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ الْكَرِيمِ
O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful
Surah Al-Infiṭār (82:6)
ارادہ
Today, I will be generous in one way that costs me something — time, money, or ego.
تدبر
Al-Karīm is The Generous — but karam in Arabic is not just about giving. It is about nobility of character. Al-Karīm gives without being asked, forgives without being begged, honours without condition. His generosity is not a policy. It is His nature.
آیت پر تدبر
The question is tender, not angry. What deceived you? What made you forget that your Lord is generous? The reminder is itself an act of generosity.
دعا
اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ كَرِيمٌ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنَّا
O Allah, You are Pardoning and Generous, and You love to pardon, so pardon us.
Sunan at-Tirmidhī 3513 (graded ṣaḥīḥ)
The du’a the Prophet (peace be upon him) taught ‘Ā’ishah for Laylat al-Qadr. His generosity and His pardoning are intertwined.
حدیث
The Prophet (peace be upon him) was the most generous of people, and he was most generous in Ramadan.
