الْمَلِكُ
Al-Malik — The King
فَتَعَالَى اللَّهُ الْمَلِكُ الْحَقُّ ۖ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ
Now Allah be Exalted, the True King! There is no God save Him, the Lord of the Throne of Grace
Surah Al-Muʾminūn (23:116)
النية
Today, in every interaction where I have authority — as parent, sibling, colleague — I will lead with service, not control.
تأمّل
Al-Malik is The King — and in relationships, this Name asks: how do you use whatever authority you have been given? The parent has authority over the child. The teacher over the student. The employer over the worker. The older sibling over the younger. Al-Malik's kingship is characterised by justice, mercy, and wisdom — not by domination. Every person who holds even a small measure of authority will be asked about how they used it.

He is the True King — meaning every other kingship is borrowed, temporary, and accountable. No one holds authority except as a trust from Him.
دعاء
اللَّهُمَّ مَالِكَ الْمُلْكِ تُؤْتِي الْمُلْكَ مَن تَشَاءُ وَتَنزِعُ الْمُلْكَ مِمَّن تَشَاءُ
Say: O Allah! Owner of Sovereignty! Thou givest sovereignty unto whom Thou wilt, and Thou withdrawest sovereignty from whom Thou wilt. Thou exaltest whom Thou wilt, and Thou abasest whom Thou wilt. In Thy hand is the good. Lo! Thou art Able to do all things
