الْحَسِيبُ

Al-Ḥasīb — The Reckoner

وَكَفَى بِاللَّهِ حَسِيبًا

Prove orphans till they reach the marriageable age; then, if ye find them of sound judgment, deliver over unto them their fortune; and devour it not by squandering and in haste lest they should grow up. Whoso (of the guardians) is rich, let him abstain generously (from taking of the property of orphans); and whoso is poor let him take thereof in reason (for his guardianship). And when ye deliver up their fortune unto orphans, have (the transaction) witnessed in their presence. Allah sufficeth as a Reckoner

Surah An-Nisāʾ (4:6)

النية

Today, I will not seek validation for my patience from anyone. Al-Ḥasīb has already counted it.

تأمّل

Al-Ḥasīb is The Reckoner — the One who accounts for everything. In a world that often ignores or overlooks your patience, Al-Ḥasīb misses nothing. The time you held your tongue. The night you stayed up caring for someone. The years you gave to a cause that produced no visible result. He is counting. He is accounting. Nothing is lost in His ledger.

في هذه الآية

Sufficient — kafā. You do not need anyone else to validate your patience. You do not need human witnesses or human recognition. Allah as Reckoner is enough.

دعاء

Said seven times in the morning and evening. Seven declarations that He is enough — because sometimes you need to remind yourself more than once.

حديث

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'When the judge passes a ruling and strives to reach the truth and gets it right, he has two rewards. When he strives but errs, he has one reward.'
