Gathered in Joy

Al-Jāmi‘ — The Gatherer
إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌ
The believers are naught else than brothers. Therefore make peace between your brethren and observe your duty to Allah that haply ye may obtain mercy
Surah Al-Ḥujurāt (49:10)
النية
Today, I will gather with someone — family, friend, neighbour — and carry the warmth of Ramadan into the connection.
تأمّل
Al-Jāmiʿ in Shawwāl gathers the community in Eid joy — the Eid prayer, the family visits, the shared meals, the gifts to children. After a month of individual discipline, Shawwāl celebrates togetherness. The integration lens sees this pattern everywhere: solitude builds the self, community sustains the self. You needed Ramadan's quiet discipline. Now you need Shawwāl's joyful gathering.
في هذه الآية
Brothers — ikhwah. The bond that Ramadan strengthened is now lived in Shawwāl's gatherings.
دعاء
اللَّهُمَّ أَلِّفْ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِنَا وَأَصْلِحْ ذَاتَ بَيْنِنَا وَاهْدِنَا سُبُلَ السَّلَامِ
O Allah, bring harmony between our hearts, mend our relations, and guide us to the paths of peace.
Sunan Abī Dāwūd 969, graded ṣaḥīḥ
A du'a for the community — because individual transformation without communal harmony is incomplete.
حديث
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'The food of two is enough for three, and the food of three is enough for four.'
