The Just Judge
٩ شعبان ١٤٤٧
الْحَكَمُ
Al-Ḥakam — The Judge
أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ الْحَاكِمِينَ
Is not Allah the most conclusive of all judges
Surah At-Tīn (95:8)
النية
Today, I will withhold judgement on one person or situation — and leave it to Al-Ḥakam.
تأمّل
Al-Ḥakam is The Judge. Not the judge who is guessing, or the judge who can be swayed, or the judge who is missing half the evidence. The Judge who knows every detail, every intention, every context. When human judgement fails you — and it will — there is a court that never gets it wrong.
في هذه الآية
Another rhetorical question that is also a declaration. When the world feels unjust, this verse is the ground beneath your feet.
دعاء
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الظُّلْمِ
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from wrongdoing.
Sunan Abī Dāwūd 5067 (graded ṣaḥīḥ)
Seeking refuge from committing injustice, not only from suffering it. The believer fears being unjust as much as being wronged.
حديث
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Beware of injustice, for injustice will be darkness on the Day of Resurrection.”
— Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2578
