Glory That Endures
٢٩ شعبان ١٤٤٧
الْمَجِيدُ
Al-Majīd — The Most Glorious
ذُو الْعَرْشِ الْمَجِيدُ
Lord of the Throne of Glory
Surah Al-Burūj (85:15)
النية
Today, I will not chase human glory. I will do my work quietly, knowing whose glory actually endures.
تأمّل
Al-Majīd is The Most Glorious — possessing a glory that does not fade, does not need an audience, does not diminish with time. Human glory is always borrowed and temporary. Divine glory simply is. On a journey, when the world strips away your status and your routines, what remains is what was always real. His glory is what remains.
في هذه الآية
The Throne represents the highest, most encompassing reality. The Lord of that Throne is Al-Majīd — His glory sits at the apex of all existence.
دعاء
إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ
Indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.
From the Ibrahim salutations in prayer (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 3370)
Said in every prayer during the final tashahhud. You declare His glory multiple times daily, whether you feel it or not.
حديث
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Allah says: I am as My servant thinks of Me.”
