Justice That Restores

٣ شوال ١٤٤٧

الْمُنْتَقِمُ

Al-MuntaqimThe Avenger

وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ اللَّهَ غَافِلًا عَمَّا يَعْمَلُ الظَّالِمُونَ ۚ

Deem not that Allah is unaware of what the wicked do. He but giveth them a respite till a day when eyes will stare (in terror)

Surah Ibrāhīm (14:42)

النية

Today, I will not avenge myself. I will trust Al-Muntaqim to settle what I cannot settle.

تأمّل

Al-Muntaqim is The Avenger — a Name that carries weight. But divine vengeance is not petty or emotional. It is the restoration of justice when injustice has gone unchecked. Every tyrant, every abuser, every system that crushed the innocent — Al-Muntaqim sees it all and will settle every account. This Name exists so that victims know: nothing is forgotten.

في هذه الآية

Do not think. The verse corrects a misconception. If you see injustice and wonder whether anyone is watching — He is. He is not unaware. He is not absent.

دعاء

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الظُّلْمِ

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from injustice.

Sunan Abī Dāwūd 5067 (graded ṣaḥīḥ)

Seeking refuge from committing injustice and from suffering it. Both are real harms.

حديث

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Beware of the du’a of the oppressed, for there is no barrier between it and Allah.”

Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 1496
