Sighting the new moon

اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللَّهُمَّ أَهِلَّهُ عَلَيْنَا بِالأَمْنِ وَالإِيمَانِ، وَبِالسَّلَامَةِ وَالإِسْلَامِ، وَالتَّوْفِيقِ لِمَا تُحِبُّ رَبَّنَا وَتَرْضَى، رَبُّنَا وَرَبُّكَ اللَّهُ

Allāhu akbaru, Allāhumma ahillahu ʿalaynā bi-l-amni wa-l-īmāni, wa bi-s-salāmati wa-l-Islāmi, wa-t-tawfīqi limā tuḥibbu Rabbanā wa tarḍā, Rabbunā wa Rabbuka-llāhu

Allah is the Greatest. O Allah, bring this new moon upon us with security and faith, with safety and Islam, and with guidance to what You love, our Lord, and are pleased with. Our Lord and your Lord is Allah.

Sunan al-Dārimī, from Ibn ʿUmar. Said on sighting the crescent of any lunar month, including Ramadan.
