By accessing or using AskSakina (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
AskSakina is an Islamic lifestyle application providing:
- Prayer times and Qibla direction
- Quran reading
- Duas and dhikr
- AI-powered spiritual guidance (Soul Comfort)
- AI-powered dream interpretation
- AI-powered halal ingredient scanner
3. Important Disclaimers
Religious Content Disclaimer
The AI features in AskSakina are NOT substitutes for qualified Islamic scholarship. The App provides general Islamic reminders and perspectives based on Quran, Hadith, and classical sources. However:
- AI-generated content may contain errors
- Responses are not fatwas (religious rulings)
- Dream interpretations are speculative, not definitive
- Halal scanning is advisory, not certification
- Always consult qualified scholars for important religious matters
4. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use the App in accordance with Islamic ethics
- Not use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Not attempt to reverse engineer or hack the App
- Not submit false information
- Not abuse the AI features with inappropriate content
5. Founding Supporter Program
The Founding Supporter program offers lifetime access to premium features for a one-time payment of £24.99 (or equivalent). This includes:
- Unlimited access to AI features
- Founding Supporter badge
- All future premium features
“Lifetime” means the lifetime of the App. If AskSakina is discontinued, we will provide at least 30 days notice.
6. Payments and Refunds
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Refund requests within 14 days of purchase will be honored, no questions asked. Contact support@asksakina.com for refund requests.
7. Intellectual Property
The App and its original content (excluding user content and Quranic text) are owned by AskSakina and protected by copyright laws. Quranic text and authentic Hadith are part of the shared Islamic heritage and are not claimed as proprietary.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AskSakina shall not be liable for:
- Any errors in prayer times or Qibla direction
- Any reliance on AI-generated religious content
- Any decisions made based on halal scanner results
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
9. Accuracy of Prayer Times
Prayer times are calculated using established Islamic algorithms. However, times may vary based on calculation method, location accuracy, and local conventions. Users are encouraged to verify with local mosques for precise times.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App for users who violate these terms or engage in abusive behavior.
11. Changes to Terms
We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
