What Patience Preserves
30 Dhul Qi'dah 1447
الْحَفِيظُ
Al-Ḥafīẓ — The Preserver
فَاللَّهُ خَيْرٌ حَافِظًا ۖ وَهُوَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ
He said: Can I entrust him to you save as I entrusted his brother to you aforetime? Allah is better at guarding, and He is the Most Merciful of those who show mercy
Surah Yūsuf (12:64)
Niat
Today, I will let patience preserve something that impatience would destroy — a conversation, a relationship, or my own peace of mind.
Renungan
Al-Ḥafīẓ is The Preserver — the One who guards, protects, and maintains. Patience preserves things that impatience destroys: marriages, friendships, faith, dignity, sanity. Every moment you choose patience over reaction, you are preserving something precious. The sharp word you did not say preserved a relationship. The door you did not slam preserved a child's sense of safety. The complaint you did not make preserved your own peace.
Tentang ayat ini
Ya'qūb said this when sending his sons to Egypt the second time — after losing Yūsuf, after years of grief, he still said: Allah is the best guardian. Patience did not mean the pain disappeared. It meant trust survived the pain.
Doa
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
In the Name of Allah, with whose Name nothing on earth or in the heavens can cause harm. And He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.

Said three times in the morning and evening — invoking His protection over everything. A shield of words from Al-Ḥafīẓ.
Hadis
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'The best of you are those who are best to their families, and I am the best of you to my family.'
