Hari 20

The Ebb

1 Sha'ban 1447

الْقَابِضُ

Al-QābiḍThe Constrictor

وَاللَّهُ يَقْبِضُ وَيَبْسُطُ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ

Who is it that will lend unto Allah a goodly loan, so that He may give it increase manifold? Allah straiteneth and enlargeth. Unto Him ye will return

Surah Al-Baqarah (2:245)

Niat

Today, if I feel squeezed, I will remember: the ebb is part of the rhythm, not a sign that the tide has abandoned me.

Renungan

Al-Qābiḍ is The Constrictor — the One who tightens, who reduces, who pulls back. This Name acknowledges a truth many spiritual writings avoid: sometimes things contract. Sometimes provision feels tight, the heart feels squeezed, the world feels smaller. This is not punishment. It is Al-Qābiḍ at work, and He always works in tandem with Al-Bāsiṭ, The Expander.

Tentang ayat ini

Constricts and expands — both are His actions. The ebb and the flow belong to Him. The contraction is not a mistake in the system. It is part of the rhythm.

Doa

اللَّهُمَّ لَا سَهْلَ إِلَّا مَا جَعَلْتَهُ سَهْلًا

O Allah, nothing is easy except what You make easy.

Sunan Ibn Ḥibbān 2427 (graded ṣaḥīḥ)

When the path narrows, this du’a asks for the One who constricts to also make it easy. He can do both.

Hadis

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Know that if the whole nation were to gather together to benefit you, they would not benefit you except with what Allah has already written for you.”

Sunan at-Tirmidhī 2516 (graded ṣaḥīḥ)
