Hari 83
Tenderness
5 Shawwal 1447
الرَّؤُوفُ
Ar-Raʼūf — The Most Kind
إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِالنَّاسِ لَرَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ
Thus We have appointed you a middle nation, that ye may be witnesses against mankind, and that the messenger may be a witness against you. And We appointed the qiblah which ye formerly observed only that We might know him who followeth the messenger, from him who turneth on his heels. In truth it was a hard (test) save for those whom Allah guided. But it was not Allah's purpose that your faith should be in vain, for Allah is Full of Pity, Merciful toward mankind
Surah Al-Baqarah (2:143)
Niat
Today, I will be gentle with someone who is struggling — the way Ar-Ra’ūf is gentle with me.
Renungan
Ar-Ra’ūf is The Most Kind, The Most Tender — a mercy that is soft, that does not overwhelm, that handles you gently. If Ar-Raḥmān is the vast mercy and Ar-Raḥīm is the specific mercy, Ar-Ra’ūf is the tender mercy. The kindness of a hand on your back when you are about to collapse. The quiet word at the right moment.
Tentang ayat ini
Kind to the people — all people, not just the righteous. His tenderness is not reserved for the perfect. It is given to the struggling, the confused, the lost.
Doa
اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْنِي وَارْفُقْ بِي
O Allah, have mercy on me and be gentle with me.
General du’a from prophetic supplication tradition
A prayer for gentleness. Sometimes what you need most is not strength but softness.
Hadis
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Allah is gentle and loves gentleness, and He gives for gentleness what He does not give for harshness.”
— Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2593
