الرَّزَّاقُ

Ar-Razzāq — The Ever-Providing

وَأَنفِقُوا مِمَّا جَعَلَكُم مُّسْتَخْلَفِينَ فِيهِ ۖ

Believe in Allah and His messenger, and spend of that whereof He hath made you trustees; and such of you as believe and spend (aright), theirs will be a great reward

Surah Al-Ḥadīd (57:7)

Intention

Today, I will share something from my provision with someone — food, money, time, or knowledge.

Reflection

Ar-Razzāq is The Provider — the One whose provision reaches every creature in every corner of creation. In the relational lens, this Name asks: are you a channel for His provision or a blockage? When He places extra in your hands — extra wealth, extra knowledge, extra time — it is not only for you. You are a distribution point. The person who hoards is not trusting Ar-Razzāq; the person who shares is testifying that more is always on its way.

On this verse

Successors — not owners. Everything in your hand was someone else's before you and will be someone else's after you. You are a temporary steward, not a permanent possessor.

Du'a

A du'a that resets your entire relationship with provision: I only need what comes from You, through channels You approve of.

Hadith

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'The upper hand is better than the lower hand. The upper hand is the one that gives, and the lower hand is the one that receives.'
