Day 234
Wise Timing
9 Rabi' al-Awwal 1448
الْحَكِيمُ
Al-Ḥakīm — The All-Wise
Lo! In the creation of the heavens and the earth and (in) the difference of night and day are tokens (of His Sovereignty) for men of understanding
Surah Āl-ʿImrān (3:190)
Intention
Today, I will trust Al-Ḥakīm's timing — I am exactly where I need to be in my preparation.
Reflection
Al-Ḥakīm at cosmic scale places everything in its right time — seasons rotate, tides follow the moon, flowers bloom when pollinators are ready. Shaʿbān before Ramadan is not accidental timing — it is Al-Ḥakīm's wisdom. You need a month of preparation before a month of intensity. You need the planting before the harvest. The placement of Shaʿbān is itself a sign of divine wisdom.
On this verse
Signs for those of understanding — ulil-albāb. The alternation of night and day, the cycle of months — all signs for the thinking heart.
Du'a
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْهُدَى وَالتُّقَى وَالْعَفَافَ وَالْغِنَى
O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and self-sufficiency.
Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2721
Four comprehensive requests — enough guidance, enough piety, enough dignity, enough provision. The wise preparation.
Hadith
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Whoever fasts Ramadan out of faith and seeking reward, all his previous sins will be forgiven.'
— Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 38, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 760
