الْوَاجِدُ
Al-Wājid — The Finder
وَوَجَدَكَ ضَالًّا فَهَدَى
Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)
Surah Aḍ-Ḍuḥā (93:7)
Intention
Today, I will welcome back one part of my spiritual life that had gone missing — a du'a I stopped saying, a prayer I stopped praying on time.
Reflection
Al-Wājid in Ramadan finds those who were lost. Every Ramadan, people who had drifted from prayer return to the masjid. People who had not opened the Quran in months pick it up again. People who had forgotten the taste of du'a remember it. Al-Wājid finds the lost parts of you and brings them back — the faith that wandered, the discipline that dissolved, the heart that hardened. In Ramadan, everything is found.
On this verse
He found you — wajadaka. Before Ramadan, you may have felt lost. Now He has found you and placed you inside the most merciful month of the year.
Du'a
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي هَدَانَا لِهَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لِنَهْتَدِيَ لَوْلَا أَنْ هَدَانَا اللَّهُ
And We remove whatever rancour may be in their hearts. Rivers flow beneath them. And they say: The praise to Allah, Who hath guided us to this. We could not truly have been led aright if Allah had not guided us. Verily the messengers of our Lord did bring the Truth. And it is cried unto them: This is the Garden. Ye inherit it for what ye used to do
Surah Al-A'rāf (7:43)

Hadith
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Allah is more delighted with the repentance of His servant than a man who lost his camel in a barren desert and then finds it.'
