الْوَالِي

Al-Wālī — The Governor

وَاللَّهُ يَحْكُمُ لَا مُعَقِّبَ لِحُكْمِهِ ۚ

See they not how we aim to the land, reducing it of its outlying parts? (When) Allah doometh there is none that can postpone His doom, and He is swift at reckoning

Intention

As Ramadan nears its end, I will trust that Al-Wālī governed every day of it perfectly — even the days that felt wasted.

Reflection

Al-Wālī as Ramadan nears its end — His governance over this month has been perfect. The hunger taught patience. The prayer built discipline. The Quran opened understanding. The charity softened hearts. Every element of Ramadan was governed by Al-Wālī to produce exactly the transformation you needed. You may not see the full picture yet, but when you look back, the governance will be evident.

On this verse

No adjuster — lā muʿaqqiba. His judgement stands. His governance of your Ramadan was flawless, even when it did not feel that way.

Du'a

Acceptance — taqabbal. The final ask of Ramadan: not just that you did it, but that He accepts it.

Hadith

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'When it is the last night of Ramadan, they are forgiven.' Someone asked: 'Is that Laylat al-Qadr?' He said: 'No. Rather, the worker is paid when he finishes his work.'
