الْبَاقِي

Al-Bāqī — The Everlasting

وَالْبَاقِيَاتُ الصَّالِحَاتُ خَيْرٌ عِندَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابًا وَخَيْرٌ أَمَلًا

Wealth and children are an ornament of the life of the world. But the good deeds which endure are better in thy Lord's sight for reward, and better in respect of hope

Surah Al-Kahf (18:46)

Intention

Today, I will invest in something that outlasts me — a charity, a lesson taught, a du'a for the next generation.

Reflection

Al-Bāqī integrated: after four cycles with The Everlasting, you know what matters. Not the temporary — the job title, the bank balance, the social media following. What endures is what you send forward: the charity, the knowledge, the righteous children, the du'a that ripples through generations. The integration of Al-Bāqī is a life oriented toward what lasts.

On this verse

Al-bāqiyāt aṣ-ṣāliḥāt — the enduring good deeds. SubḥānAllāh, Alḥamdulillāh, Lā ilāha illAllāh, Allāhu Akbar. These are what endure.

Du'a

The four enduring good deeds — bāqiyāt ṣāliḥāt. They are more beloved to Allah than everything the sun rises upon.

Hadith

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him.'
