Day 304

Channel of Provision

الرَّزَّاقُ

Ar-Razzāq The Ever-Providing

وَأَنفِقُوا مِمَّا جَعَلَكُم مُّسْتَخْلَفِينَ فِيهِ ۖ

Believe in Allah and His messenger, and spend of that whereof He hath made you trustees; and such of you as believe and spend (aright), theirs will be a great reward

Surah Al-Ḥadīd (57:7)

Intention

Today, I will be a channel, not a dam, letting provision flow through me to someone who needs it.

Reflection

Ar-Razzāq integrated: you are a distribution point, not a storage facility. Every provision that passes through your hands was meant to continue flowing. The integrated life is one of generous circulation, wealth, knowledge, time, all flowing through you to where it is needed.

On this verse

Successors: mustakhlifīn. Not owners. Temporary holders of what will eventually pass to the next.

Du'a

اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِي بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ

O Allah, suffice me with what is lawful and enrich me by Your bounty over all others.

Sunan at-Tirmidhī 3563, graded ḥasan

Sufficiency from Him alone, then overflow to others.

Hadith

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'The upper hand is better than the lower hand.'
