Day 78
Higher Than Every Height
30 Ramadan 1447
الْمُتَعَالِي
Al-Muta‘ālī — The Most Exalted
عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ الْكَبِيرُ الْمُتَعَالِ
He is the Knower of the Invisible and the Visible, the Great, the High Exalted
Surah Ar-Ra‘d (13:9)
Intention
Today, in sujūd, I will pause and say this three times with full presence, feeling the distance between my forehead and His exaltation.
Reflection
Al-Muta‘ālī is The Most Exalted — exalted above every description, every limitation, every frame. When you think you have grasped something of His nature, Al-Muta‘ālī reminds you: higher still. The exaltation is not arrogance. It is accuracy. He is always more than you think.
On this verse
Grand and Exalted together. Not just high in rank but grand in scope. His exaltation encompasses everything.
Du'a
سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْأَعْلَى
Glory be to my Lord, the Most High.
Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 772
Said in sujūd — from the lowest position, you declare the highest truth.
Hadith
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Make plenty of du’a in sujūd, for it is most likely to be answered.”
— Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 479
